Re: any scores?
you know im not one to criticize refs, but i concur, probably one of the worse reffed games ive seen, but..like BLue said, coeburn didnt play to their potential either, missed way too many shots that we usually make, and didnt get many rebounds we should have gotten either, ahh, it happens though

Re: any scores?

Re: any scores?
How about the GC girls or did they play?

Re: any scores?
Think girls won by about 30.

Re: any scores?
PV gave one to Kelly, no way Kelly should have beat PV.
I wasnt impressed with Kelly at all, I expected more becaues of the talk on this forum.
None of their so-called stars did much at all.

Re: any scores?
Many people, particularly on this forum, have underestimated JJ Kelly and continue to do so.
Kelly is by no means the best team in the LPD or Region D but they are a solid team. The team doesn't have any "stars" per say but they have some good talent. This is not a flashy team, and you won't see any highlight reels here, but they manage to get the job done. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: if you underestimate JJ Kelly and write them off, you're making a mistake and you might get a surprise when March rolls around.
The 2004-05 LPD playoffs should have been a lesson to everyone. No one expected Pound to get past the first round, yet they eliminated Clintwood and Powell Valley in back-to-back games and went on to the Region D tourney.
No team is invincible, and any team can lose on any given night.

Re: any scores?
How can you underestimate a team that isnt really any good?
They played a soild game and beat a PV team with a lot of issues.
But, if they played 10 times, PV wins 9.

Re: any scores?
LOL! Well if you're determined they're not any good, then that is exactly how you underestimate them. Maybe that's what Clintwood and Powell Valley thought about Pound last year going into the LPD tournament.
I think some have underestimated Powell Valley as well. From what I've read on this forum, I would have expected one of the worst teams top play basketball in the LPD in many years. In the game I saw them play, they weren't bad at all.
If I've learned anything lately, it's that you can't make judgments based on what you read on this forum. The season has barely begun. Teams will improve. Games will be won. Games will be lost.
It's a long ride! So buckle up, it may get bumpy.

Re: any scores?
Evidently they did enough to win on the road though. I always like to hear folks talking about how bad the team that just beat their team is. Kinda makes me say "If we suck, you all must really blow"
